Hello Fiddleheads & Floss readers,

If you’re here…chances are

  • You know me and want to support my work by reading, engaging, sharing

  • You LOVE poetry and all things parnassian

  • Or you are a freelance writer that follows me for guidance and to learn more about SEO and freelancing

For whatever reason you are here, I am thankful. My art would fall very flat without people, like you, who believe in me. Plus, I love to help others to learn and grow.

If you are a fellow Medium writer (especially a publication owner) you may have noticed I’m deleting LOTS of Medium stories. I was inspired, in part, by Taylor Swift to do this. But, I was also inspired by you, my readers.

I understand you are busy. Possibly even very busy. So, asking you to open umpteen Medium posts to read my poems is…well…not very respectful of your time. So, as miss Swift did, I am going back into the writing studio to find ways to get my poetry out there, without taking advantage, in any way, of your time.

This inspired me to remove some of my poems from individual postings and put them together into collections. So far, I have prepared 3 collections:

The Haiku Collection

The Tanka Collection

The Abecedarian Collection

Yes, this means a whole bunch of poetry publications received emails from me today announcing that I’d removed a post from their publication. (Perhaps I should have warned them?)

The goal here is to save time. Compile into more easily readable collections. And hopefully, to inspire a deeper and more meaningful reading experience. I may also prepare collections of my other form poetry, but I have not yet decided if I should do this for free verse—because there are so many of these.

I do want to learn more poetic forms and I hope these collections inspire to me to write more form poems and also share with readers some learning tools for each form.

Thanks, as always, for following my art. I appreciate you.

Christina
