This Is NOT Your Last Chance – I Will Never Threaten You

Dear reader...there's a new trend among writers & creators and it's shameful.

I am a writer – this is true. I need readers – this is true. I cannot make my living if all my work isn’t read or enjoyed by someone out there. But there’s a trend among writers and content creators and it sickens me. Every day I work on clearing out dozens (ok hundreds) of emails and I keep seeing titles like these:

This is your last chance!
Going, going, gone!
Sign up now, or else lose out forever!
Click here or you’ll miss out!
Act now before I delete this whole thing!
You are the only one who’s not signing up!

I get these emails nearly every week from other writers and creators who are desperate for your clicks, your reads, and for you to sign up for this or that, or buy this or that.

So let me make this promise to you:

I will never threaten you
coerce you
bribe you
beg you
boss you
or otherwise try to pressure you into reading my work.

I simply share my work and hope that in some small way it is a blessing to others.
And I keep a grateful heart for each and every time someone reads my work, shares my work, or the biggest blessing of all — buys my work in some way. Like one of my poetry books that are the heart and soul of my work. YOU are the one who is a blessing to me — and I will never forget that.
